Changhua County flag-raising ceremony on New Year’s Day will be held at Lukang Stadium at 7:30 am on January 1st, 2021 (Friday). Changhua County Mayor, Wang Hui-Mei, invites everyone to join the flag-raising ceremony to celebrate Taiwan’s 110th year on New Year’s Day. While celebrating, the relevant epidemic prevention measures must be followed. County mayor, Ms. Wang, and the county government team will continue to do their best to make Changhua a happy and good place to live.  
 
“Well begun is half done. We are about to say goodbye to 2020, which is a very disturbing year. Because of the global outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, we would like to thank all the heroes of the front lines of the coronavirus fight, including medical staff, police officers, civil affairs staff and etc, and to thank everyone from all industries for their great efforts, for helping us go through such a hard period this year. I hope that in the coming year 2021, everyone will be healthier and safer, and economic development will be more prosperous.” said County mayor, Ms. Wang.  
 
Changhua County Government will hold a flag-raising ceremony at Lukang Stadium on New Year’s Day in hopes of “Turn to New Fortune, Run to New Hope” in the coming year. After the ceremony, participants may join the historic sites walk tour in Lukang to bless for fair weather and peace. All the participants can not only receive a special flag-raising mask from county government, but also join the lottery. Special thanks to the China Youth Corps for hosting this event.
