The "2025 Taiwan Design Expo" grandly opened across three main exhibition areas during the Double Tenth National Day long weekend. Featuring 15 venues, the Expo presents a diverse array of themes, including urban governance, local industries, youth creativity, cultural heritage, and botanical aesthetics. The central venue, Changhua Transaction, offers a compelling dialogue between history and the future. County Mayor Wang Hui-Mei invites the public to spend their holiday in Changhua and immerse themselves in the boundless charm of design and the city’s vibrant spirit of innovation. At 10 AM, the Changhua Area welcomed its first visitors, with crowds lined up early to be among the first to experience (((CHANGHUA))) (彰化行). Community groups and individuals who had participated in the National Day flag-raising ceremony and health walk also arrived to explore the exhibition. Large-scale installations in front of the library and art museum quickly became popular photo spots on social media, while many families with children enjoyed the interactive design displays. The Expo weaves together a rich tapestry of themes, telling countless stories—from 300 years of cultural heritage and the global expansion of local industries to imaginative visions of the future. It offers a comprehensive glimpse into the depth and brilliance of Changhua’s legacy. The “Changhua Transaction (總行)” serves as the soul of (((CHANGHUA))), from which all other exhibitions branch out and flourish. Its unique “Changhua AI Think Tank Multi-dimensional Model” gathers a wide array of data about Changhua—from poetry and art to industry, history, and culture—preserving the collective memory of this land and supporting the diversity of future cultural landscapes. The exhibition “Changhua Matters (是,彰化)” explores design from the perspective of Changhua, highlighting the force that allows Changhua to support each other and move forward together through Changhua's countless industries and trades that are found everywhere in daily life. The design energy generated by the 2025 Taiwan Design Expo will leave Changhua with innovative urban governance concepts. This includes initiatives like improving pedestrian walkways, upgrading public facilities and services, and establishing a city-wide visual identity system. By making design visible and accessible in daily life, Changhua is paving the way for a new aesthetic and unlocking vast potential for the future. To make exploring Changhua more convenient and personalized, the county government has launched the exclusive (((CHANGHUA))) app, available for download on both Android and iOS platforms. The app consolidates information on exhibitions, events, transportation, and accommodations, allowing users to access everything they need with a single tap. During the 17-day exhibition period, visitors to Changhua will experience the transformative power of design in everyday life and witness the boundless charm of (((CHANGHUA))).
