A series of events for “2023 Changhua Flower Festival” were organized by 8 township and city offices, farmers' associations, and communities to jointly promote the beauty of Changhua county’s flower fields during winter cropping, where the flower viewing and radish pulling activities were held in Hemei, Lukang, Changhua City, Fenyuan, and Puyan respectively today (8th). Changhua County Mayor, Wang HuiMei, expressed her gratitude to the organizers and invited everyone to come to Changhua County to enjoy the beauty of flower fields. Changhua County is the hometown of flowers with hundreds of flowers blooming right now, including cosmos, yellow cosmos, sunflowers and zinnias. This year, the total promotion area is of 150 hectares and the designated area with more than 3 hectares of flower fields are scattered in 8 cities and townships. For this festival, 8 cities and townships, including Changhua City, Hemei, Tianzhong, Xiushui, Huatan, Fenyuan, Puyan and Lukang, organized their own distinctive flower viewing event and set up designated area of flower fields. Those beautiful landscape crops are definitely worth visiters to punch in and take pictures. The series events kicked off with the “2022 Tianzhong Straw Festival” which took placed at the designated flower fields in Tianzhong Wanggaoliao, followed by the “Fun with Earth Oven” in Lukang, “2023 Flower Fields Art Festival” at the Nansin Village in Puyan, “2023 Flowers in Hemei”, “Changhua 300 Flower Festival” in Changhua City and “Radish Pulling Experience & Flower Viewing” in Fenyuan. After that, there are “Earth Oven in Huatan” and “2023 Kite & Flowers in Ginling.” Varied entertaining activities are available to both adults and children in each event, such as viewing the beautiful flowers blooming in the large scale of farmland, local special agricultural product exhibitions, special snack tasting, parent-child activities, etc. Everyone is welcome to join in the grand events. In addition, there are 3 events worth you to spend your 10-day Lunar New Year holiday in Changhua: "National Palace Museum Treasures Tour Changhua” at the Changhua County Art Museum from now until February 28; “Changhua Moonlight Lantern Festival” at the Great Buddha Scenic Area in Mt. Bagua from January 14th to February 28th; and “2023 Flowers in Changhua” at Xizhou Park from January 22nd (the first day of the Lunar New Year) to February 5th (the 15th day of the Lunar New Year). Everyone is sincerely invited to spend the holiday in Changhua to enjoy the flowers, lanterns, exhibitions, agricultural products, and delicious food.
