Changhua County Mayor Wang HuiMei welcomes the public to come to Changhua during the Lunar New Year to enjoy the flowers, lanterns, culinary delights and to experience the treasures of Changhua. “2024 Flowers in Changhua” grandly took place at Xizhou Park with the theme of “Changhua Treasure City”, opening for free from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day from February 10th to 25th (the first day to the 16th day of the Lunar New Year). Under the design of Hiroshi Yoshii, a well-known Japanese character designer, the “Flower Elf EVA" was produced to lead visitors to explore the flowerscape, which presents the characteristics of agriculture, forestry, fishery and animal husbandry with Changhua's local flowers and shows the colorfulness and vitality of Changhua's agriculture. Moreover, performance teams from four countries including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia are invited for the first time to give amazing performances. Especially, the "Flower Elves and Fantasy Journey Themed Parent-Child Day" was launched on February 18th, featured Flower Elf Parade, Bubble Carnival, Animal Star Circus Children's Theater, and the most popular YOYO Family Parent-Child Concert, enabling participating tourists to have an interesting and joyful family time. The public is welcome to Changhua during the Lunar New Year to view beautiful flowers and enjoy local culinary delights. “2024 Changhua Moon Shadow Lantern Festival” is open for free from now until March 3rd with the brilliant and majestic Great Buddha Projection Mapping Show performing every half hour every night. In order to offer optimal visual effect, the first show was adjusted to start at 6:30 p.m. due to the late sunset. In addition, the pink carousel and interactive photogenic light installations are available for taking instagrammable photos.
