The 2025 Changhua Agri-Food Education Carnival was held this morning (23rd) at the Lukang Stadium, with County Mayor Wang Hui-Mei in attendance. County Mayor Wang emphasized that Changhua is a major agricultural county, and the county government has been actively promoting the “farm-to-table” agri-food concept, aiming to educate children from a young age. Since 2019, the county has invested a total of NT$47.28 million over seven years to implement the Agri-Food Classroom Program (食育美學堂計畫), engaging more than 65,000 teachers, students, and community members. The initiative helps children learn about ingredients, understand production, respect nature, cherish the land, and develop healthy eating habits. The county government continues to promote the “Three Certificates and One QR Code (三章一Q)” traceability system for domestic agricultural products and requires vendors to provide locally grown organic vegetables in school lunches once a week. This ensures that children enjoy fresh, healthy meals while truly understanding the concept of “Eat well and be grateful.” In addition, Changhua’s diverse geography—spanning mountains, coasts, and plains—has nurtured the largest number of outstanding young farmers nationwide, with approximately 3,000 individuals. The county encourages everyone to purchase agricultural products under the brand Changhua County Fresh Select (彰化優鮮), taking concrete action to support high-quality local agriculture.
