To highlight the achievements of youth startup programs and offer an exchange platform, sales, and exhibition opportunities for young entrepreneurs, the Changhua County Government hosted the two-day 2025 Changhua Youth Startup Festival on November 29–30 at Yuanlinyuan (圓林園). The County Mayor attended the opening ceremony, joining attendees in celebrating the entrepreneurial achievements of local youth. To encourage young people to stay or return to their hometowns, the county allocates NT$10 million each year, offering up to NT$300,000 in subsidies for youth entrepreneurship and dream realization. To date, 136 young entrepreneurs have received support to establish their own businesses. In addition, the county has established a counseling mechanism that provides up to five professional services per year, assisting youth with issues ranging from physical storefront operations to e-commerce planning and beyond. After starting a business, young entrepreneurs need a stage to showcase their work. Through the festival, the county hopes to highlight the creativity and vitality of Changhua’s youth. At the design exhibition, visitors experienced firsthand the innovation and energy of young creators, with the hope that this momentum will continue to drive future policies. For the Festival, the Department of Youth Development organized a diverse range of activities, including a market, interactive experiences, product promotions, musical performances, and youth exchanges. To encourage consumption, “Double Value Coupons” were introduced, allowing participants to buy NT$200 worth of goods for just NT$100. Vendors also offered limited-edition lucky bags, providing an affordable way to try youth-created products. The county urges the public to support new youth brands through concrete action, empowering young entrepreneurs to thrive. In addition, the county government established the Yuanlinyuan Youth Startup Hub on the second floor of the administration building within the Yuanlinyuan Flood Detention Park (圓林園滯洪池生態公園) this year. The hub is well-equipped with office facilities, including three independent office rooms, 30 coworking spaces, and a meeting room, providing a supportive environment for young entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and exchange ideas. The county government will continue to strengthen entrepreneurship counseling services, serving as the strongest support for youth.
