Co organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Changhua County Government, the 2025 Taiwan Design Expo in Changhua brought together more than 700 designers and industry professionals. Held from October 10th to October 26th, the 17 day design exhibition attracted over 7.839 million visitors, generated an estimated NT$8 billion in economic value, and achieved an impressive 97% visitor satisfaction rate. According to Google—the world’s largest search engine—the Taiwan Design Expo, hosted in Changhua for the first time, ranked No. 1 on the 2025 “Fast Rising Exhibition” list, becoming one of the year’s most talked about events. With the joint efforts of the county government team and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the exhibition featured rich and diverse content spanning local industries, everyday culture, and historical heritage, showcasing the remarkable achievements of Changhua through years of investing in design driven development. The Changhua County Government stated that this grand event allowed more people to experience the unique charm of (((CHANGHUA))) (彰化行). Although the 2025 Taiwan Design Expo in Changhua has come to a close, the changes it has sparked are only just beginning. Moving forward, the county will build on the experience and resources gained from the expo to further advance policies such as “Design in Communities” and “Design in Daily Life.” The goal is to make design the language, the brand, and the driving force behind Changhua’s ongoing innovation, shaping its own local design narrative. By embedding design aesthetics into every corner of the county, Changhua aims to elevate residents’ quality of life and aesthetic literacy, ultimately transforming the county into a vibrant new hub for Taiwan’s design industry. From planning to execution, the journey was filled with challenges, setbacks, laughter, and moments of pride. Every story from the 2025 Taiwan Design Expo in Changhua will remain a meaningful memory, fueling continued growth and inspiring future progress.
