The vibrant kapok season comes once again! The Pitou and Zhutang Township Offices are hosting the ”Pitou Kapok Festival & Family Hiking Event” and the “Zhutang Kapok Season” respectively. Changhua is filled with stunning natural beauty—beyond the kapok trees currently in full bloom in Pitou, Zhutang, and Erlin, the azaleas in Shetou and pink shower trees in Ershui are now coming into bloom in succession. Don’t miss the chance to experience these breathtaking blooms during this delightful springtime. Now in its sixth year, the Kapok Flower Festival has transformed once-hidden gems into some of Taiwan’s most popular flower-viewing destinations. The hiking route for the Pitou Kapok Flower Festival begins at Zhongxi Bridge along the old Zhuoshui River. It spans a 6 kilometer round trip, lined with brilliant orange red kapok blossoms. Participants who complete the hike will receive a commemorative gift, redeemable at community stalls for local delicacies. Exciting raffle prizes include a 75-inch television, bicycles, massage guns, ovens, and more. The four-day program features hiking today and children’s sketching tomorrow, followed by a singing contest and family activities next weekend. Meanwhile, the Zhutang Kapok Season features a morning fun run, kimono experiences, paddy-field tire sledding, and loach catching. Stage performances include the beloved YOYO Family leading interactive dances for children. Participants can also enjoy a raffle with abundant prizes, alongside a farmers’ market and an inflatable playground—making the festival a truly festive highlight.
