On May 13, Changhua County Mayor Wang Hui-Mei led a delegation to visit Bike Fun International (BFI), one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in the Czech Republic. The delegation was warmly welcomed by General Manager Matu?? and his team, who provided an in-depth overview of the company’s history, production processes, and achievements in electric bicycle innovation. Matu?? expressed his appreciation for the visit, highlighting the achievements BFI has attained over the past 25 years through the collective efforts of its employees, and looked forward to closer cooperation with Changhua’s industries in the future. Following the tour, County Mayor Wang commended BFI for its commitment to vertical integration, quality excellence, technological innovation, and employee welfare. She also extended an invitation for BFI representatives to visit Changhua in the future, with the aim of strengthening collaboration between the two sides. 
 
Founded 25 years ago, BFI manufactures between 200,000 and 300,000 bicycles annually. Its vertically integrated system spans research and development, assembly, manufacturing, and sales, while leveraging user data to drive product innovation and technological upgrades. The delegation also toured new production lines and advanced smart manufacturing equipment that significantly enhance efficiency, leaving a strong impression on the visiting team. 
 
Changhua is home to a complete bicycle component industry cluster, with many local companies maintaining long-term partnerships with BFI. Witnessing the Czech Republic’s advanced assembly facilities and manufacturing technologies highlighted the close connections between Changhua’s bicycle industry and the global market. This exchange is expected to deepen mutual ties, strengthen supply chain cooperation, and provide valuable insights into innovation, smart manufacturing, and data-driven development—providing valuable insights for Changhua’s ongoing industrial transformation and upgrading. The county government will continue to support local businesses in capitalizing on global e-bike market opportunities, enhancing international competitiveness, and further enhancing Changhua’s reputation as the “Hometown of Bicycles” on the global stage.
