Changhua’s design excellence has once again shone on the international stage! The 2026 Changhua Flower Festival, organized by the Changhua County Government, stood out among entries from around the world to receive the Silver Award in the Conceptual Design – Exhibition & Events category at the prestigious MUSE Design Awards in the United States. This honor not only affirms Changhua's outstanding design achievements from an international perspective but also showcases to the world the unique charm of Changhua as Taiwan's Flower County. At an expanded departmental weekly meeting in June, the Agriculture Department of the Changhua County Government presented the award to County Mayor Wang Hui-Mei. Mayor Wang commended the department for its dedication and hard work in bringing the beauty of Changhua's floral artistry to the global stage. 
 
This marks the festival's second consecutive international design award, following the Gold Award received in 2025 for the central pavilion, The Flower Exhibition. These back-to-back honors further enhance the reputation of the Changhua Flower Festival and strengthen Changhua's image as Taiwan's Flower County on the international stage. Organized by the International Awards Associate (IAA), the MUSE Design Awards are among the world's most influential cross-disciplinary design competitions. The award-winning 2026 central pavilion, Flowing Floral Realm, departed from the traditional concept of static floral displays by transforming Changhua's flourishing flower industry and natural ecology into an immersive environment rich in visual impact and emotional resonance. All floral installations featured in the pavilion were created using locally grown flowers. The jury praised the pavilion's fluid spatial design and innovative aesthetic language, awarding it the Silver distinction. 
 
The Agriculture Department emphasized that this international honor belongs equally to Changhua's dedicated flower growers and the creative teams responsible for the pavilion's design and floral artistry. As one of Taiwan's leading flower-producing regions, Changhua has successfully integrated local industry, craftsmanship, and global aesthetics through innovative design. The County Government is already preparing for the next edition, the 2027 Changhua Flower Festival, which promises even more inspiring curatorial concepts and immersive sensory experiences, inviting visitors to explore a city where blossoms and stories intertwine.
